Spring clearance at bikes.com.au cuts $5,500 off a Focus e-MTB

bikes.com.au, the online arm of Melbourne Bicycle Centre in Prahran, is running a Spring Clearance Sale across 151 products, and the biggest cuts are on electric mountain bikes.

The e-bike numbers

The headline deal is a Focus JAM2 SL 9.9 lightweight electric mountain bike at $6,999, down from $12,499, a $5,500 saving. The step down JAM2 SL 8.7 is $4,699 from $8,999. A Trek Fuel EXe 5, Trek's lightweight e-MTB, is $5,499 from $7,499. The Focus Thron2 6.7 is $4,399 from $6,499, and the Icon E-Matic electric tricycle is $4,499 from $5,499.

Acoustic bikes are cut too

The largest percentage discount on the page is a Focus JAM 6.8 mountain bike at $1,969, down from $4,299, which the retailer lists as 54 percent off. A Focus Izalco Max 9.9 carbon road bike is $9,899 from $13,999, and an Izalco Max Disc 8.9 is $4,799 from $6,999. Rocky Mountain has several bikes in the sale, including an Altitude Carbon 50 at $6,799 from $8,899 and an Instinct Alloy 10 at $2,399 from $4,499. Cannondale, Apollo, Jamis, Mongoose, Haro and XDS fill out the cheaper end, down to kids bikes and BMX.

What it means for buyers

No end date is published, so the usual clearance rules apply. This is run out stock from the current model year, not new arrivals, so sizes and colours thin out first and the bike you want may not exist in your size. Bikes are pickup only from the Prahran store, which matters if you are outside Melbourne. Prices quoted here were correct on 21 August 2026 and can change without notice.
