Canyon launched the third generation Grail on 17 September 2026. The gravel race bike now clears tyres up to 57mm. Canyon sells direct through its website and app, so there is no dealer network involved in buying one.

What is new

The range has three carbon frame tiers: CF, CF SLX and CFR. Cyclingnews lists claimed raw frame weights (medium) of 1,128g for the CF, 1,095g for the CF SLX and 989g for the CFR. Complete bikes start from 8.39kg according to Canyon's Australian page.

Bikes ship with 45mm Schwalbe G-One R tyres. Cyclingnews also reports a new aero seatpost, Canyon's Pace adjustable cockpit and integrated down tube storage on higher models.

Australian pricing

Canyon's Australian page lists the Grail CF 7 at $3,499 (marked coming soon), the CF SLX 7 Di2 at $5,999, the CF SLX 8 AXS at $7,499 and the CFR Di2 at $9,000 (also marked coming soon). At the time of checking on 2 October, the CF SLX 7 and CF SLX 8 were showing only a couple of sizes in stock. Stock and prices change often with direct brands, so check the Canyon page before ordering.

What it means for buyers

The Grail shows how far gravel tyre clearance has moved, and 57mm opens up rougher routes and bikepacking. If you are weighing a direct brand against a shop bought bike, factor in sizing availability and servicing options. Compare the new Grail against other gravel bikes on BikeFinder by price, tyre clearance, groupset and weight.
