Giant's redesigned AnyTour X E+ 3 lands in Australia at $6,499

Giant's AnyTour E+ and AnyTour X E+ ranges have been redesigned for the new model year, and the flagship AnyTour X E+ 3 is now listed as new stock on Giant's Australian site at $6,499 RRP. The frame is a straighter, cleaner take on the previous shape, built from Giant's own Aluxx SL 6011 aluminium, which the brand says is both lighter and stiffer than before.

What is new on the bike

The X E+ 3 runs Giant's SyncDrive Sport 3 motor, which puts out 85Nm of torque and is tuned to respond to cadence above 70rpm for stronger acceleration on climbs and loose surfaces. A 100mm suspension fork and 2.25 inch tyres are paired with a 12 degree swept handlebar for comfort on gravel and mixed terrain, and every model in the range gets a 40mm travel suspension dropper post as standard. The bigger change is the electronics: Aegis Radar warns of vehicles approaching from up to 120 metres behind, Aegis Tyre Checker monitors tyre pressure for range and safety, and E-Lock plus Apple Find My give riders a way to disable the motor and track the bike if it is stolen.

Price and positioning

At $6,499, the X E+ 3 sits at the pricier end of Giant's adventure e-bike line, reflecting the radar, tyre sensors and dropper post that come standard rather than as an upgrade. The more road focused AnyTour E+ models share the same motor family and electronics but run narrower tyres and a shorter travel fork for riders who mostly stick to sealed paths and commuting.
