Norco adds a cheaper Bosch e-MTB to the Sight VLT range

Norco has opened up a new entry point into its Sight VLT e-mountain bike range with the Sight VLT Bosch A, a full power e-MTB built around Bosch's Performance Line PX motor system. It is the most affordable way into the Sight VLT platform, according to Flow Mountain Bike's coverage of the bike.

What is different about it

The Bosch A uses a 6066 aluminium frame rather than the more common 6061 alloy, which Norco says gives a stronger and lighter chassis, along with the same Virtual Pivot Suspension layout and 150mm of travel used elsewhere in the Sight VLT range. Power comes from the Bosch Performance Line PX motor, rated at 90Nm of torque and up to 700W of peak power with up to 400 percent rider support. The 600Wh Bosch Power Tube battery can be topped up with an optional 250Wh range extender for longer rides.

Three specs, one price ladder

Norco has confirmed three trim levels for Australia: the A3 at $6,799, the A2 at $7,699 and the A1 at $8,699. That sits well below the Sight VLT CX C3, which starts from $10,999, making the Bosch A roughly 45 percent cheaper at the entry level according to Flow Mountain Bike.

What it means for buyers

For riders who want a genuine full power Bosch e-MTB without paying carbon frame prices, the Sight VLT Bosch A is one of the more affordable options to land in Australia this year.
