New Ridley Falcn RS drops to a claimed 705g frame

Ridley released the new Falcn RS on 8 October 2026. BikeRadar reports it is a completely new design, not an update of the old bike. Ridley claims the medium frame weighs 705g, against 825g for the previous Falcn RS, and that frame, fork and seatpost together are 12 per cent lighter. The SRAM Red AXS build in a medium is claimed at 6.2kg.
What changed
Ridley says the tube shapes are more traditional because they allow more efficient carbon layup. The seat tube angle is 76 degrees on all five sizes and the head angle is 73 degrees, with a taller head tube than before. Tyre clearance is 35mm (measured). The bottom bracket is BB86 press fit, the headset uses CeramicSpeed bearings and TPU inner tubes are fitted as standard.
Ridley claims the bike is about 10 watts slower than its Noah Fast aero bike at 50 km/h, so this is a lightweight climbing and all rounder bike, not an aero bike.
Price and availability
BikeRadar lists three off the peg builds, available from 8 October. The dollar figures are US pricing, not Australian. SRAM Red AXS is GBP 11,299, USD 14,999 or EUR 12,499. SRAM Force AXS is GBP 7,699, USD 10,199 or EUR 8,499. Shimano Ultegra Di2 R8100 is GBP 6,899, USD 8,999 or EUR 7,499. The Australian price has not been published.
What it means for buyers
At these prices this is an enthusiast purchase, and the Ultegra Di2 build is the cheapest way in. Ridley has an Australian website, but an Australian price and distributor were not confirmed at the time of writing, so check with a local dealer before you plan around the overseas figures.
