Scott overhauls the Addict Gravel with 57mm tyre clearance and built in storage
Scott has given its Addict Gravel a substantial redesign, moving the bike away from a race first philosophy toward one built for comfort, stability and multi day riding. The headline number is tyre clearance, which jumps to 57mm, achieved through what Scott calls threadlike chainstays narrowed to 8.5mm near the bottom bracket.
Built for rough Australian gravel
Geometry has shifted to suit the bigger tyres, with a lower bottom bracket, more fork rake and a longer front centre for stability at speed on loose surfaces. Scott has also softened the carbon layup on both the flagship HMX frame (now a claimed 794g, down 75g) and the more affordable HMF frame (990g, down 25g), saying the added flex helps tyres track uneven ground rather than skipping over it.
Storage built into the frame
The new Addict Gravel packs a rattle free storage compartment into the down tube, big enough for Scott's own tube, lever and mini pump kit. Bottle and cargo mounts have moved to the inner face of the fork legs to keep weight centred, and the bar ends hide an Allen key and tubeless repair kit. There are also mounting points for dedicated Syncros frame bags, giving the bike real bikepacking range beyond what a typical gravel race bike offers.
Australian pricing and range
The range runs to five models. The entry level Addict Gravel 40 is $4,000 and pairs the HMF frame with Shimano GRX RX610. Above that sit the Addict Gravel 30 at $5,950 and the Addict Gravel 20 at $8,200, both running SRAM Force XPLR AXS on the HMF frame. The Addict Gravel 10 moves to the HMX frame for $9,650, and the range tops out with the Addict Gravel Premium at $13,400, built with SRAM RED XPLR AXS and a claimed 7.8kg weight.
